Portfolio Logo

I created this logo for a class assignment at Western Kentucky University. My professor told us to design and create a logo that we could use in a second assignment where we would be designing and creating a portfolio website. I decided that the portfolio I would be making would be a photography portfolio so I chose to use colors that wouldn’t take away from the photos. The white and black help to make the photos stand out while the red brings in a little pop of color and refinement to the design. I decided to use an owl in the design because I like their meaning of mystery and wisdom being linked to a photography portfolio. I feel like a lot of the time when I look at photographs they automatically give a feeling of mystery and intrigue as to what was going on in that moment. Plus, who doesn’t like owls?
